As most of you know, we'll be heading off to Peru very soon, and will be teaching English to about 30 girls at an orphanage in Curahuasi, Peru. Curahuasi is a small pueblo about an hour or more west of Cusco with limited resources for education in the area. Through the help of our friends, Nick, Paul and Paola and their generous family, we have the opportunity to make an impact on the education, health and self-confidence of these local young girls between the ages of 12-17.
Some have asked how they can help or participate in this unique opportunity. Since it is very hard to have shipments of school supplies, clothes or other essentials sent to this area, it is best to have donations received in money. Once we arrive in Curahuasi, we will speak to those involved and assess what is needed most. We'll purchase the supplies in Cusco and bring them to Curahuasi. We will record all supplies purchased with your donation and let you know how your gift has made a difference.
